Send us a tip

Seen something, or hold something, that the public should know about? Pick the route that matches how careful you need to be.

  • Anything sensitive

Hush Line, our anonymous tip line

Encrypted, with no account and no name. A way to reach you is optional: leave one only if you want a reply.

    Webtips.hushline.app/to/CNIL Torhyewn4dvbedq7ooe3oxrhpceljd7ncfyeyts2c7nwsjp34i46smbzwid.onion/to/CNIL

The tip line is shared with the ICE List, so its page carries that name. For the strongest protection, open the Tor address in the Tor Browser.

  • ICE activity, footage, an agent you can identify

ICE Watch, the ICE List's app

Report where and when you saw an operation and upload photos or video. It asks for no account and no name, and a person reviews every submission before anything appears.

  • Nothing sensitive

    Email

Email is not anonymous and not encrypted. Use it for story ideas and public material, not for anything that could put you at risk.

Before you send

  • Do not use a work phone, a work computer, a work network or a work email account.
  • The Tor Browser hides where you are connecting from. Use it with the Tor address above.
  • Photos, videos and documents can carry hidden details such as a location, a device or an author name. Remove them first if that worries you.
  • Never put yourself, or anyone you are filming, at greater risk to get us something.

What helps us most

  • What happened, where and when.
  • How you know: you saw it, you work there, you hold the document.
  • Anything that backs it up: documents, photos, video, links.
  • Who else could confirm it.
